What is Labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty, also known as reduction labiaplasty or nymphoplasty, is a surgical procedure that reduces the size of the labia minora (the inner lips of the vagina).
Labial hypertrophy is considered to be when the labia minora extend beyond the vulvar opening (surpassing the labia majora) in an uplifted position.
Labial hypertrophy can cause discomfort in clothing (preventing the patient from wearing tight pants, swimsuits, etc.), discomfort when riding a bicycle, or during sexual intercourse.
Additionally, in certain situations, labial hypertrophy can be the cause of recurring fungal infections.
The surgical procedure aims to reduce the size of the labia and correct any major asymmetry by excising the excess mucosa.
The surgery is performed on adults with no age restrictions.
This surgical procedure does not have any impact on sexual life or childbirth.
